5 trends that will flirt your heart this Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day is approaching, that special date that invites us to celebrate love in all its forms. As you know, I am writing to you from New York and here, in the United States, the holiday is experienced in a unique way. The celebration is divided between "Valentine's" for couples and "Galentine's" for girlfriends (a play on words between "girls" and "Valentine's"). This time, we'll explore those trends that will not only make you feel gorgeous, but also inspire you to express your own style, no matter what your plans are for the day.

Before we dive into the trends, let's remember that the best Valentine's Day outfit is the one that makes you feel authentic and comfortable. After all, fashion is a form of self-expression, and Valentine's Day is the perfect opportunity to highlight your essence and celebrate love in all its manifestations.

This year, synchronicity is on our side, as several trends align perfectly with the season of love. From vibrant color palettes to flirty and romantic styles, there are options for every taste. When talking about trends, we won't limit ourselves to just colors; we'll explore various aesthetics, prints and textures that will allow you to create unique and special looks for the occasion.

Now, let's go through together the fashion trends that will make this February 14th a day full of love!

1. Passionate Red:

Red, the color of love and passion, is the most obvious choice for Valentine's Day. This shade has been dominating fashion trends in recent months and synchronicity smiles on us as we approach the holiday of love. You can opt for a monochromatic look or add a touch of this color with accessories, makeup or details on your clothes. The combination of red and black creates a bold impact, while pink and red in an analogous palette softens the look - it's the perfect time to wear this meaningful color! And if you can't bring yourself to wear it on clothes or accessories, you can try it on your nails!

2. Coquette Aesthetic:

Inspired by Victorian and Rococo fashion, the coquette aesthetic focuses on charming details like lace, bows, pearls and corsets, all with a modern twist. This trend evokes a romantic and feminine feel. Think white broderie or English ruffled tops, pearl accessories and delicate bows. The association with Valentine's Day is undeniable!

3. Motif of Hearts:

Hearts are the universal symbol of love and wearing them in your look is a lovely way to express the Valentine's spirit. From heart-shaped accessories to fun printed garments, there are options for all tastes. Earrings, rings, necklaces or even a purse are ideal choices. You can also add mini hearts to your nail art, a fun but subtle nod!

4. Hearts Pajamas:

Does your ideal Valentine's Day plan include staying in? Heart print pajamas are a hot trend. Google searches for "heart pajamas" have increased 349% and there's no doubt that it's a cozy option aligned with the aesthetic of the celebration. You can look great in the comfort of your home!

5. Transparencies and lace:

The transparencies and lace trend, which has gained momentum since the Spring/Summer 2023 runway shows, becomes a bold and elegant choice for Valentine's Day. Celebrating empowerment and liberation of the body, this fashion offers subtle ways to incorporate it. From delicate bodices under a sheer top to strategic layering of garments, February 14 is a unique opportunity to express self-love and confidence.

May the magical harmony of current trends with Valentine's Day inspire you to create a look that is true to your style.

Personally, I consider this date an opportunity to celebrate all kinds of love: your own, the one shared with your best friends and, of course, the one with your partner.
